A letter of good association, A.L.S., `Georges Victor-Hugo´, one page, blue paper, 12mo, Avenue Henri-Martin, Paris, Thursday, 11th April 1918, to a friend, in French. Victor-Hugo tells his correspondent not to forget to give him Maurice Barres´ opinion regarding Pierre Louys, stating `N´oubliez pas de me donner l´opinion de Barrès au sujet de Pierre Louys. Si ça va, je me précipiterai chez mon admirable voisin et je lui ferai signer la lettre d´autorité. Je vais partir demain peut-être chez ma femme, pour y voir mes fils…´ (Translation: “Don't forget to give me Barrès' opinion about Pierre Louys. If it goes well, I will rush to my admirable neighbour and have him sign the letter of authority. I will probably go tomorrow to my wife´s home, to see my children…”) With blank integral leaf. Georges Victor-Hugo´ father died when he was only three years old, and since then he was raised by his grand-father Victor Hugo who would be inspired by this experience to write his work L´Art d´être grand-père (1877) a collection of poems.
