Degas is ill and reports to his correspondent his small health improvements, stating ` Je me lève dans la journée mais je garde la chambre depuis quelques jours. C´est un coup de froid que j´ai du prendre par cet affreux temps. Je ne vous écris pas plus long et vous embrasse´ (Translation: “ I get up during the day but I've been keeping the room for a few days. It was a cold that I must have suffered because of this terrible weather. I won't write you any longer and kiss you”) With blank integral leaf.
