Claire de Kersaint (1777-1828) Duchess of Duras. French novelist. Best known for her novel Ourika, 1823, an early work on racial and sexual equality. Close friend of Chateaubriand. Antoine Philippe de la Trémoille (1765-1794) Prince of Talmont. Husband of Felicie Duras, daughter of the Duchess. The Prince was guillotined at the early age of 28.
