BALBO ITALO: (1896-1940) Italian Marshal of the Air Force and heir apparent to Benito Mussolini. A good vintage signed postcard photograph `Italo Balbo´, the image showing Balbo standing, alongside Ulisse Longo, wearing his aviator uniform. Also signed by Longo to the upper right corner above his own image and by the photographer to the partially dark right lower corner. The present photograph was taken in Reykjavik between 5th and 12th July 1933, on his way to the 1933 Chicago World´s Fair. Bearing to the verso the Reykjavik photographer´s ink stamp ''Vignir'' together with an annotation related to Balbo in an unknown hand. A very slightly light black ink signature by Balbo. Overall minor age wear, mainly to the edges. G £150-200
