ANGELL NORMAN: (1872-1967) English Author, Journalist and member of the Parliament for the Labour Party. Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1933. A good T.L.S., `Norman Angell´, with multiple text corrections in his hand, one page, 8vo, London, 16th February 1923, on his personal printed stationery of 4 King´s Bench Walk, Temple, London, to Messieurs Delamain, Boutelleau & Cie, in French. The letter bears a red ink stamp of the Librairie Stock of Paris, Angell stating in part `I send to you, registered, the original English version of the book
it contains only half of ''The Fruits of Victory. Please report to Doctor Lazard that part of the text is fully new..''. Accompanied by an A.L.S., by his translator, Doctor Lazard, 0ne page, 8vo, 12th June 1923, to same correspondents, reporting on the schedule to complete the translation, stating `..It is understood and agreed that this work will be published without my name as translator, in the same way was published before war the best known work of same author..´ Folded.
