FRICK WILHELM: (1877-1946) German Politician. Reich Minister of the Interior of the Nazi Party 1933-43, replaced by Himmler in 1943. Last Governor of Bohemia and Moravia. Frick was tried and convicted of war crimes at the Nuremberg Trials and was executed by hanging. Frick was at the head of the Kriminalpolizei (''Criminal Police'') in Munich, where he took part in Hitler´s failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923, for which he was convicted of high treason. A.L.S., `Willy´, four pages, 4to, Berlin, 19th March 1938, on his Ministry printed stationery, to his sister Emma, in German. Frick states in part `Thank you very much for your last two letters, especially for your birthday wishes, which were somehow disturbed by the recent political events…The political events are the so-called Anschluss..´ Accompanied by a printed card, dated March 1937, Frick thanking for the wishes on his 60th birthday and the support received for his work for the Fuhrer. The card bears to the upper left corner a blind embossed seal of the Nazi eagle on the swastika. About VG £600-900
