SCHMELING MAX: (1905-2005) German Boxer, World Heavyweight Champion 1930-32 & ONDRA ANNY (1903-1987) Czech Actress who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's The Manxman and Blackmail. Husband and wife from 1933-87. An excellent vintage signed and inscribed 9 x 11.5 photograph by both Schmeling and Ondra individually, the image depicting them standing together in three quarter length poses. Photograph by Strominger of Prague and bearing their blind embossed stamp. Signed by Schmeling in bold, dark fountain pen ink, with a few additional words in German in his hand, to the lower white border and signed ('Anny Ondrakova') by Ondra in fountain pen ink to the lower white border, adding an inscription in her hand to a very dark area at the base of the image. One very small, minor corner crease and very slightly irregularly trimmed to the left edge, otherwise VG £100-120
