Boulanger writes, in full, 'To differ the moment of seeing you, Dear Gertrude, is rather hard. But I must finish a kind of work, that, knowing I can not do properly, I postpone. And at the last moment, luggage closed, the car before the door, the necessity of achieving what I promised to do so long ago, became shining and imperative. And here I am - hoping to deliver me of this obsession. Hope nevertheless to see you soon. Sincerely - & I remain devotedly your'.
