DUBUFFET JEAN: (1901-1985) French Painter and Sculptor. Best known for founding the Art Brut movement. An excellent A.L.S., `Jean Dubuffet´, two pages, 8vo, n.p., Monday 25th, n.y., in French. Dubuffet apologizes for having left early on last occasion and having missed the meeting with his correspondent, further stating in part `I had a work to accomplish at my studio. Think in the big rules of drying implicating that some painter´s works have to be completed on the same day they were started, and which enforce us to a Carthusian discipline.´, further saying `
I am delighted to learn that you bought the bird cage for me, I deeply thank you for this, and I look forward to see it..´ Folded. EX £250-350
