BRAQUE GEORGES: (1882-1963) French Painter and Sculptor. A main Cubism figure, closely associated to Picasso. Rare and attractive signed and inscribed 11 x 15 photograph by Braque, the unusually large Mariette Lachard image depicting Braque outdoors, in a half length pose. Signed and inscribed in bold black ink `G. Braque´ to the lower right corner, also dated 1951 in his hand. The series of portraits taken by Mariette Lachard of Braque rank among his most famous and sought after images. Small creasing to the upper part of the photograph as a result of remnants of former affixing to the verso, otherwise G £600-900
