ZUOREN WU: (1908-1997) Chinese Painter. After Zuoren´s Giant Panda postage stamps design in 1963 for the People´s Republic of China, Giant Panda were established as the emblem of the new China. A permanent member of the National People´s Congress since 1954. Attractive bold black ink signed autograph statement by Zuoren, in Chinese calligraphy, one page, to the blank verso of a postcard, Beijing, 1989, to Michael Levin. To the front showing a printed image of the Eiffel tower, on its centenary, 1889-1989, above the printed text ''J´ai 100 ans!'' (''I have 100 years!''). Zuoren states `For the worldwide diffused ray, remain standing for 1000 autumns. Commemoration of the Eiffel tower centenary.´ Accompanied by the original envelope postmarked and post-stamped with attractive Chinese stamps. VG £400-600
