Anatoly Lunacharsky (1875-1933) Russian Marxist revolutionary. After the 1917 October Revolution, he was appointed as People´s Commissar for Education in the first Soviet government 1917-29. Lunacharsky is associated with the establishment of the Bolshoi Theater in 1919 together with Maxim Gorky, Alexander Blok and Maria Andreieva.
