1947 (15 Aug) BAHAWALPUR KGVI set of 14v from 3p to Re 1 Provisional overprint MNH stamps; Sg no: 1 to 14 - 1947 (15 Aug) BAHAWALPUR KGVI King George VI set of 14v from 3p to Re 1 Provisional overprint MNH stamps; Sg no: 1 to 14, CV-£775; These stamps were issued during the interim period, following the implementation of the Indian Independence Act, during which time Bahawalpur was part of NEITHER of the two countries created. The Amir acceded to the dominion of Pakistan on 3 Oct, 1947 and these overprinted stamps of Inida were then withdrawn. These stamps were available for a very short period.
