Lot of Documents of a Jewish-Hungarian Family
Lot of documents of a Jewish-Hungarian family from before, during and after the Holocaust. Comprising of: *Two documents releasing a man and a woman whose spouses perished in the Holocaust from the status of "Agunah", issued by the Central Office of the Orthodox Community in Hungary, 1946 * Postcards sent from Hungary during World War II, some with Nazi "Feldpost" stamps. Apparently some of the postcards were sent by a family member who served in the labour service in Hungary * Document issued by the Jewish office of the Jewish Quarter in Michalovce, Slovakia, 1941. The document contains a testimony regarding the year of birth of a Jewish community member, in the absence of a birth certificate * 5 Hungarian birth certificates from the 1940s (from before and after the war) *4 school certificates of a Jewish girl, Hungary, 1925-1929 * Various handwritten letters from before, during and after the war. Various sizes and conditions, overall fair-poor condition.
