Japanese Antique Single Case Inro with Chest Design
Title: A single case inro modelled as a chest.
Date: 19th century
Size: 9.8 x 2.2 x 4.8 cm
Condition report: Some gilt fading. Chipped lacquer on the feet. One foot is restored. Cracked and faded mother-of-pearl.
Single case inro, decorated in takamaki-e and hiramaki-e, modelled as a chest with two wood grain design doors, mother-of-pearl decorated panels, decorative weaved ropes. Base and interior in nashiji.
