Darchei Noam, responsa on all four parts of Shulchan Aruch, by R. Mordechai HaLevi of Egypt, with Kuntres Milchemet Mitzva by his son R. Avraham HaLevi (with separate title page). Venice: Bragadin brothers, [1697-1698]. First edition.
On verso of title page, illustration of Tzurat HaBayit (the layout of the Temple).
Lengthy inscriptions on both sides of the endpaper, containing indexes to the book in Ashkenazic script (ca. 18th/19th century).
Several handwritten marginal glosses.
On final leaf, stamp of R. Michael Dov Weingott (1819-1887), author of Agudat Ezov Midbari, rabbi of Piotrków.
282; 41 leaves. 29 cm. Margins of Kuntres Milchemet Mitzva at end of book, trimmed. Overall good condition. Stains, including minor dampstains. Large tear to leaf 5 of first sequence (detached piece), affecting text. Minor worming to several leaves, not affecting text. First gathering detached. Old binding, damaged (front and back board detached, leather spine damaged).
Some copies include an additional leaf at the end of the book with another illustration of the Temple. The present copy does not include that leaf.
