Collection of Issues of “Ha’Sgula” – Jerusalem
Eleven issues of “HaSgula” weekly, “dedicated to the copying of ancient manuscripts which were never printed – appear in one hundred exemplars…”, published by Rabbi Menachem Zev Butshen-Chasida. Jerusalem, [1934-1938].
Issues of second year, booklets 24-25 (Iyar-Sivan 1935); third year, booklets 31-32, 34-35 (Iyar-Sivan 1936); fourth year, booklet 45 (Adar 1937); fifth year, booklets 51-53, 56 (Nisan-Elul 1938).
The Ga’on Rabbi Menachem Zev Butshen-Chasida (1885-1965), exalted Torah scholar and knowledgeable individual, left his home and business in Poland prior to the Holocaust, established his residence in Jerusalem, where he spent his days deciphering and copying manuscripts and publishing the “HaSgula” which was distributed to approximately one hundred subscribers, over the course of 14 years. Consequently, several books of the Ge’onim and Rishonim on all facets of the Torah were published.
