This beautifully carved green stone amulet depicts a seated owl, symbolising wisdom and protection. Dating to the 2nd-3rd century A.D., this amulet reflects a concept of guardianship commonly associated with owls in ancient cultures. The amulet exhibits fine detailing in the owl’s feathers and posture. Amulets like this were believed to provide spiritual protection.
