A Legal Document from Safed - Signature of Rabbi David Babad of Sniatyn the Son of the 'Minchat Chinuch' and Signatures of the Rabbis of the Twon – 1887
מסמך משפטי בנוגע לעניין מסוים בקהילה היהודית בצפת. תרמ"ז [1887]. על המסמך חתום רבי אברהם זילברמן זצ"ל, רבה של העיר, וכן רבי יוסף הכהן דומ"ץ צפת. בנוסף לכך חתום רבי דוד מאיר באב"ד זצ"ל, בנו של רבי יוסף באב"ד בעל ה"מנחת חינוך".
רבי דוד באב"ד זצ"ל, אחיינו של רבי חיים מצאנז בעל ה"דברי חיים". כיהן כאב"ד סניאטין והרב של פרוביזנא לפני תרמ"ח (1888), עלה ארצה והתיישב בצפת שם נפטר בתרנ"ד (1894) ונטמן סמוך לציון האר"י הקדוש.
