Old Salt D6551 - Large - Royal Doulton Character Jug
Variation One. Dark blue fisherman's jersey. Blue mermaid tail.
When the miniature Old Salt jug was launched in 1984, it had a hollow crook in the mermaid's arm. Later that year, because of production problems, the arm was molded to the body. The first version of the miniature has attained near pilot status and commands a large premium over the general issue. Royal Doulton backstamp.
