A Hand Painted Porcelain Demitasse Set - A set of twelve cups and saucers, each with good hand painted decoration depicting a variety of insects. Late 19th century, marked for the Edwin James Drew Bodley company and the English Registry mark that indicates that the set was made circa 1872. The lot includes the original presentation box marked for the J.E. Caldwell Co. Philadelphia.    Dimensions: each cup is 3” x 2 1/8” and 2 1/4” tall, each saucer is 5” in diameter.    Provenance: From a Bucks County collection.  Condition: One cup has loss to the foot rim, one saucer has a small rim chip and one cup has glued repairs,   all other pieces in good condition with some expected surface wear. The presentation box is in poor condition.
