GF15090759, dated 11th September 2015 Red beryl is an extremely rare variety of beryl that comes in red color from trace amounts of iron and manganese. Red beryl is often known in the trade as “red emerald”. With only three known locations in Utah, USA where red beryl can be found, the crystals mined from these locations are typically not gem quality, therefore it's not suitable for faceting.
