A complete set of seven volumes, in uniform burgundy cloth with gilt titles to spine. All volumes profusely illustrated in colour and b&w. Each volume measures 26.5 x 19cm.
China 1: The Yin, Chou, And Warring States Periods to the Six Dynasties Period (C13thBC - 588AD).
China 2: Tsui and T'Ang Periods to the Ming and Ch’ing periods (589-1912).
Japan 1: prehistoric period to Nara Period, (C3d BC-793AD). Some dampstaining to lower part of text block.
Japan 2: Early Heian to Kamakura period (794-1333).
Japan 3: Muromachi Period to the Early Edo Period (1334-1715).
Japan 4: Late Edo to Post-War period (1716-1968).
Korea. Some wear to covers, sun fade to spines, some tissue guards to the plates are loose. Most volumes retain their transparent plastic dust jackets.Overall a very good set. Scarce with all seven volumes. From the collection of an Oxford academic. Very good. Original Cloth
