A CHINESE WHITE JADE AND RUSSET BRUSH WASHER / WATER POT, QING DYNASTY. Of ovoid form with overlapping lotus leaves with trailing stems and leaves wrapping around the body and bridging the open section. On a carved wood stand. Jade 7.5cm length. Jade weight 105.8 grams. Together with a copy of Insurance valuation from Sotheby & Co. London 1974. Provenance: Property of Dr.G.W.Milledge acquired during his time in China c.1930s, thence by descent. Overall good condition with no major damage and no repairs. Three noticeable lines to the larger stem bridging the open section.
