A CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK COLLAR MOUNTED ON A BOARD, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. Of scrolled outline, embroidered in coloured and gold thread with five dragons chasing flaming pearls amongst clouds, above waves, within a border of bats and clouds, reserved on a dark blue ground, mounted on a gold-coloured velvet clad board, 81.5cm x 46cm overall. Provenance: Property of Dr.G.W.Milledge acquired during his time in China c.1930s, thence by descent. Overall in good order. Very minor loose threads, later mounted on board, the border slightly faded and very slightly loose.
