AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHINESE DUCK-EGG BLUE SILK EMBROIDERED ROBE. The ruyi-shaped collar, cuffs and hems embroidered with figures, pavilions, rockwork and flowers on an ivory ground, the robe embroidered front and back in gold thread with flowers and scrolls and roundels with figures in terraced gardens, edged in black, with gilt-metal toggles and blue-silk lining. Approx. 98cm long Overall in very good order. There is some minor wear throughout, some loose embroidery threads and very minor fraying, some slight discolouration to blue silk lining, minor small holes to lining, some slight discolouration to ivory ground. Some rubbing to gilt toggles.
