A COLLECTION OF CHINESE SILK LADY'S SHOES, 20TH CENTURY. Including: a pair of orange silk shoes embroidered with flowers with leather soles, a pair of purple and a pair of black silk shoes similar, each with fabric soles and assorted pairs of black silk shoes. (7 pairs). Provenance: Property of Dr.G.W.Milledge acquired during his time in China c.1930s, thence by descent. Some wear throughout, most noticeable to underside of soles and interior lining of shoes. Some minor loose stitching, one black pair with hole to toe. Typical wear commensurate with age and use.
