A CHINESE QINGBAI WARE EWER, SONG DYNASTY (960-1279). Finely potted ovoid body with continuous band of linear lines, with small strap handle and spout covered in a pale blue glaze stopping short of the foot. 9.3cm tall. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family. Minor shallow chips to foot otherwise in good condition for age. 1cm crack to foot possibly a firing fault.
