A CHINESE QINGBAI WARE CUP STAND, SONG DYNASTY (960-1279). A rounded cup top section attached to a lobed six sided bowl on slightly splayed foot. Covered in a whitish glaze with pool of translucent aquamarine coloured glaze around the join of the top section to the bowl. 12.8cm diam. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family. 1.5cm hairline to note from the rim of the bowl. One faint star hairline to the bowl section. Slight shallow chip to underside of foot. No signs of repair.
