A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE TWIN HANDLED CUP, LATE MING DYNASTY. Circular cup with Taotie mask handles to each side with a band of incised archaic dragons to the body. With a carved wooden stand. Cup 12cm wide including handles. Jade weight 104 grams. Provenance: Purchased from G.Nakajima Antiques & Curios, Kyoto, Japan in 2001. With 'Certificate of Authenticity' dating it to circa 1800. The jade in good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair. Natural lines and inclusions in the jade to note. Wooden stand in good general condition.
