A CHINESE INCENSE BURNER, XUANDE MARK, 19TH CENTURY. Of square form with looped lion mask handles decorated to the body in relief with various flowering trees and foliage. The pierced cover similarly decorated. Raised six-character seal mark of Xuande to base. 18.5cm wide including handles. Total weight 1666 grams. With a purchase receipt dated 1986. Provenance: Purchased from Max Rutishauser Arts et Antiquités, May 1986. Some possible losses within the pierced cover however in good overall condition.
