A CHANGSHA TYPE GLAZED STONEWARE EWER COATED IN A FINELY CRACKLED YELLOWISH GREEN GLAZE. Below the spout is a floral design in iron oxide. The flat base is unglazed. It has a short hexagonal spout opposite the grooved handle. Looking inside the ewer suggests it lay on its side for a long time as there is a 'tide mark' with a line of crystalline growths that matches a line across the base. 18cm tall. Overall in good condition with no signs of damage or repair.
