A CHINESE EXPORT BLACK AND RED LACQUER GILT TEA CADDY, 19/20TH CENTURY. Of rectangular form decorated to the exterior with figures in courtyard scenes within butterfly and fruit cartouches. Metal lined box and cover to the interior. 16cm x 10.5cm x 9cm. Noticeable splitting to the edges near rear and cover. Faded areas of gilt in places with wear to the interior.
