Joseph le Guluche, "The Pouting One"
circa 1900, signed and titled "Le Boudeur", embossed circle mark Fontaine & Durieux Paris, addition Fabrication Francais and model number 2179, terracotta earth coloured painted, a pair of siblings standing on an oval base with tree trunk support, the boy with grumpy face covering a doll on the ground with his foot, feet of the doll bumped, otherwise good condition, h 34 cm. Artist info: Joseph le Guluche (1849 Plourvino to 1915 Vellejuif), French sculptor, active for the manufactories Villenauxe-la-Grande (Aube), L'Isle-Adam (Val-d'Oise) as well as Mauger and Letut.
