Title " La Nouvelle Chute de l'Amérique", joint work by Allen Ginsberg and Roy Lichtenstein, published in Paris by Editions du Solstice in 1992, here edition of 80 numbered copies signed in lead by Ginsberg and Lichtenstein on laid paper, partly with scooped edges, contains eleven poems in English and French, graphics by Roy Lichtenstein not present, 24 folded sheets inserted in a folder covered with red linen and in a slipcase covered with blue linen, dimensions slipcase approx. 51 x 38 x 7 cm. Artist info Allen Ginsberg: eigentl. Irwin Allen Ginsberg, US-American poet (1926 Paterson/New Jersey until 1997 New York), studied law at Columbia University, acquaintance with Peter Orlovsky in 1984, promotion among others by the poet William Carlos Williams, 1956 scandal by the poem Howl, which was also banned, 1965 deported from Cuba to Prague and here participation in the Majáles, Friendship with Bob Dylan, who also set some of his texts to music. Turning to Buddhism, teaching at Naropa University in Boulder/Colorado, 1973 admission to the Academy of Arts and Letters and 1992 to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, source: Wikipedia. Artist info Roy Lichtenstein: actually Roy Fox Lichtenstein, us-American painter, graphic artist, sculptor and educator (1923 Manhattan/New York to 1997 Manhattan/New York), already occupied with painting as a youth, 1939 attended courses at the Art Students League, from 1940 studied at Ohio State University, 1943-45 studies interrupted by military service, 1950 graduated with a Master's degree, 1951 moved to Cleveland, from 1957-60 assistant professor at New State University in Oswego, 1956 first signs of Pop Art in his works, 1960-63 worked at Rutgers University in New Jersey, from 1961 produced first comic pictures characteristic of the artist, 1963 moved to New York, 1970 moved to Southampton, from 1971 member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 1968 and 1977 took part in the documenta in Kassel, 1995 awarded the Kyoto Prize, 1996 awarded an honorary doctorate by George Washington University in Washington D.
