He was one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. He was an exponent of Italian neorealist painting that expressed himself in the artists of the New Front of the Arts. His art, linked to expressionism, was also characterized by his social commitment that led him to political experience as a senator of the Italian Communist Party for two legislatures, during the secretariat of Enrico Berlinguer.
“The contract” is a lithograph with silk-screen color print run 98/99 taken from the comedy by Eduardo De Filippo: The Contract. It has the certificate of authenticity of the auction house "MANZONI ARTE" of Alba Adriatica (IT) in which it was purchased by a private individual in 2012. Paper size 50 x 35 cm. Condition: good.
