Princess Diana Owned Wool Blanket Donated To Poland
This 100% wool blanket, made in england, was personally owned and used by the Princess of Wales in the 1970's, it would have been last used when she was flatting in London. It was donated along with a number of items to the "Help The Poland Fund." Poland was under martial law in the early 1980's and in desperate need of help in the form of medical aid along with clothing and blankets. It comes with a letter from the person whose mother was a volounteer and who worked closely with Lady Salisbury in this effort which was a great sucess. It comes with the original name label that was supposed to be removed. Quoting from the letter:"A massive amount of clothing and blankets were donated from all over the world, including a considerable amount of clothing from the Prince & Princess of Wales who were so very generous in their giving. Volunteers were instructed to remove all labels from clothing, in particular those that pertained to the Royal Couple."
