Two volumes with two sections of the work Leviyat Hen—first edition, 1766-7
First section, Ateret Rosh, and the second section, Ateret Tiferet, “two sections included in the work Leviyat Hen…” on masechet Brachot and mishnayot of Seder Zra’im, with illustrated diagrams. By Rabbi Levi ben David, Av Beit Din of Kodni (Lithuania). The first section was printed in 1766, the second in 1767 (the colophon says 1768). Many important endorsements from rabbis of: Amsterdam, Hague, Horodna, Vilna, Tiktin, Hanover, Galona, Wanzbeck. [1], 81, [1]; [1], 65, 18, 24 pages. Probably missing a page in the first section, not from the text itself. Original bindings, no spine (in the second section, the bindings are detached). Stains, reinforcement with tape, generally good condition.
The first section has stamps: “Beit Midrash Klauz in Altona”. The blank first page has a long handwritten dedication mentioning the year 1794, and the end of the book has an inscription in large Sofer script, with the date of a birth, and an additional note in regular script.
