G.Т. Stopa is known for his illustrations of children's fairy tales. The style of the engravings is original, reflecting the influence of ancient Russian iconography, folk crude coloured woodcut. The choice of three primary colors creates a contrasting, vibrant composition that immediately grabs the eye of the viewer.

Such an engraving may be part of the decoration of a themed space, a children's room or become a wonderful gift for a connoisseur of Russian fairy tales!

Engraver: Stopa Genrikh Tadeushevich (1936-2015) is an artist, graphic artist.

Graduated from V. Potyomkin Moscow Pedagogical Institute, art and graphics faculty (1960). Studied under the professors B. Nemenskiy, А. Lavrov, А. Laptev. Since 1968 is engaged in teaching, has worked for book publishers.

For his work, the artist has been awarded diplomas and prizes from the Ministry of Culture and the Association of Artists, Space industry federation, Committee for physical education and sports, silver medal of М.B. Grekov.

Artist’s works are kept in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Pushkin State Museum of Literature, in the art galleries of Khabarovsk, Kuibyshev, Petrozavodsk, Sevastopol, Murmansk, Magadan, Odessa and other cities. Works of G.Т. Stopa were included in the collections of forty museums and private collections in the United States, France, Belgium, Germany, Finland.
