Состояние условно хорошее. Оригинальная обложка утрачена. Переплет потерт. Трещины между блоком и верхней крышкой по форзацу, между страницами 84-85, 212-213. Порывы на страницах 15-20 – страницы 15-16 подклеены; подклеен порыв на последней странице книги. Страница 84 отделена. Страницы 213-220 частично отделены. На форзацах и некоторых страницах пятна.
«Голод» — первый роман норвежского писателя Кнута Гамсуна, полное издание которого появилось в 1890 году. Это произведение, включающее многочисленные автобиографические детали, принесло начинающему писателю европейскую известность. По мнению норвежского писателя Яна Хьерстада, это «первое произведение в мировой литературе, где самосознание является главным героем». По некоторым данным, эта книга является первым романом направления модернизм.
