Portuguese silver toothpick holder, 19th century. Turk figure in traditional costume, on a perforated plinth, on a base decorated with foliage. With Porto assay mark (P-44.0d), in use from 1870 to c.1877, and AAL (P-73.0) maker's mark, attributable to Abel Augusto Lemos, in use from 1853 to 1881. Defects, faults and signs of use. Weight approx.: 280 g.; Height approx.: 22 cm.
