Rare Saint Joaquim and Sant'Ana teaching Our Lady to read, sculptural group from the 18th century, work attributable to the laboratory of Machado de Castro, in polychrome, upholstered and gilded wood. Sant'Ana is depicted barefoot, sitting on a golden chair with a cut-out back decorated with windings. wears hair trapped under the veil, long tunic to the feet and mantle falling over the shoulder and lap. He points to the Book with his left hand. Our Lady, a girl, is represented standing, barefoot, holding the open Book in her hands, with the inscription "Ecce virgo concipiet et pariet filium". Wear your wavy hair up. He wears a long tunic with a mantle over his shoulders. São Joaquim, standing and reclining to Sant'Ana's right, observes the whole scene. He wears long beards and gray hair, with a long tunic reaching down to his feet, and a mantle falling over his shoulders. The three figures wear robes profusely decorated with floral, plant and pattern motifs. Base trimmed with marble in shades of blue and golden friezes. With splendors and crown in silver, unmarked, over 50 years old, under Decree-Law 120/2017, of September 15 - art. 2, paragraph 2, letter c). Restorations, flaws, wear and small defects.
