Invulgar tinteiro em prata dourada portuguesa, séc. XIX, com tinteiro, areeiro, caixa de obreias e sineta, P. 508 g.
Unusual Portuguese gilded silver inkwell, 19th century, with an inkpot, sandbox, wafer box and bell. Support profusely decorated with angel heads, shells, pearl friezes and plant scrolls, resting on four claw feet. Lids in the shape of flowers and bell with hand in the shape of a male bust. Oporto hallmark and JCTA makers mark (P-414.0), attributable to Joaquim Gonçalves Taveira de Azevedo, used from c.1853 to c.1877, remarked with an old man's head. Wear, defects and signs of use.
