Antique Chinese dressing table from the 18th century, small in size, lacquered wood, with mirror, two drawers, a large drawer, and base. Rectangular mirror, tilting and removable, topped by a pinnacle (later addition). Folding top revealing factory with central door, two niches, and five drawers. Gilded decoration with landscapes in reserves and background profusely decorated with a pattern. The drawers do not fully retract. Missing parts, wear, and traces of woodworm.

This dressing table was given by Alexandre Alberto da Rocha de Serpa Pinto, 1st Viscount of Serpa Pinto, to Carlos Ribeiro Nogueira Ferrão, his former aide-de-camp.

Table de toilette chinoise ancienne du XVIIIe siècle, de petite taille, en bois laqué, avec miroir, deux tiroirs, un grand tiroir et une base. Miroir rectangulaire, inclinable et amovible, surmonté d'une pointe (ajout ultérieur). Dessus pliant révélant une fabrique avec porte centrale, deux niches et cinq tiroirs. Décoration dorée avec paysages en réserves et fond profusément décoré d'un motif. Les tiroirs ne se rétractent pas entièrement. Pièces manquantes, usure et traces de vrillettes.
