The blessings for a complete recovery are for the father of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Kliers [the recipient of the letter], the renowned Rabbi Moshe Kliers, head of the Rabbinical Court of Tiberias, of blessed memory.
The Holy Rebbi Menachem Nachum Twersky, son of Rebbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka. Born in 1840, he was one of the prominent Admorim of his generation. He was the son and successor of the Holy Rebbi Yochanan, the founder of the Rachmastrivka dynasty, son of the "Maggid of Chernobyl, " grandson of the "Meor Einayim" Zt''l. He married Chava, the daughter of Rebbi Zev Auerbach, a descendant of Rebbi Avraham Dov of Chmelnik, and later married the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Hornstein of Berdichev. He had a special affinity for "the common people of Israel" and was attentive to their troubles. Following the customs of the Admorim of Rachmastrivka, he conducted himself with humility and modesty. Due to his great humility, he would often lead the "tishes" together with his brother, "two kings in one crown." In 1926, he immigrated to Jerusalem, where he served as one of the city's leading Admorim, and he lived a long life until 1936. After his passing, he was buried in the Mount of Olives cemetery.
He possessed an extraordinary memory and remained sharp until his last day. On his final day, he was still in a clear state of mind. He gathered his holy brothers and his close followers and bid them farewell with words of encouragement and tales. Even after his passing, his face did not become pale but appeared as the face of a living person. This was testified by the righteous Chasid, Rabbi Elazar Brizel Z''l, who was a member of the Chevra Kadisha in Jerusalem and participated in the purification of his holy body, which took place on the eve of the Holy Sabbath. As they prepared him for burial, his face seemed as if he was going to greet the Sabbath Queen.
In that conversation on the day of his passing, his holy brothers asked him to share something he remembered from home. He began and told: "When I was already six years old, a woman who was childless came to our house. She entered my father's room and began pleading with him to promise her a son. When my father tried to avoid her, she stood in the doorway and informed him that she would not let him leave his room until he promised her a son. I understood that something was happening inside the room. I came to see, and my father told me that she was not letting him leave until he promised her a son. I asked him, 'Father, why don't you promise her as she asks?' My father said to me, 'It is not an easy thing to bring about salvation for her, but you can bring it about for her.' Upon hearing my father's words, I blessed her, and indeed she was immediately granted good news."
Good condition, with a few small tears at the top without any missing content.
