Ohr Yisrael on Tikkunei HaZohar by the Kozhnitzer Maggid. First Edition. Chernowitz, 1862.

Comments and clarifications by the Kozhnitzer Maggid Harav Yisrael Hopstein on sefer Tikkunei HaZohar.
These comments were copied from the Maggid’s personal copy of Tikkunei HaZohar, reviewed and edited in his own handwriting.
The Kozhnitzer Maggid numbered among the supreme kabbalistic sages of his generation. Prior to studying under the Maggid of Mezritch, he mastered all 800 existing works of kabbalah. The Maggid of Mezritch requested that he edit his own kabbalistic siddur.
The beginning of the sefer features an endorsement by the Admor Harav Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, with whom the publisher conferred regarding editing the work and entitled it Ohr Yisrael, “As he is a brilliant heavenly light who illuminates the eyes of Yisrael and reveals the secrets of the Tikkunei HaZohar.”
Chernowitz, 1862. First edition. [3], 57 leaves, 2 title pages, wide margins. Good condition.
