Alexey Reypolsky. Illustration for the book "The Feat of Hercules", author Barteniev, Mir Child Publishing House, 1997, 41.5 × 29.5 cm, watercolor on paper, excellent preservation, private collection Alexei Dmiitrievich Reypolsky (1945). Graduated from the Repin Institute of Fine Arts (1969). He worked in the publishing houses "Detgiz" and "Artist of the RSFSR".
The artist's works are kept at the State Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of the History of St. Russia and abroad.
Designed and illustrated more than 70 book editions, including: a series of fairy tales by Ch. Perrault (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Little Boy with Thumb, Blue Beard, Riquet-Tufted, "Donkey skin"); collection of AS Pushkin's fairy tales and AS Pushkin's poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila"; drama by M. Yu. Lermontov "Masquerade" and fairy tale by M. Yu. Lermontov "Ashik-Kerib"; F. M. Dostoevsky's novel The Gambler; A. Pogorelsky's tale "The Black Hen, or Underground inhabitants"; W. Scott's novel "Ivanhoe"; a collection of poetic lyrics and translations from English by S. Ya. Marshak; collection "Russian fairy tales"; books-monographs dedicated to M. Yu. Lermontov, A. N. Radishchev, G. R. Derzhavin, A. A. Blok.
