TRISTAN FAITH Acrylic Sea Life Florida Painting. Frame measure 12" X 14". TRISTAN FAITH attended Corcoran Art School in the 70's and finished her undergraduate degree at Burlington College in the 90's majoring in transpersonal psychology with a minor in fine art. She continued art therapy studies and psychology for my MA degree at Southwestern College and completed my PhD studies in philosophy at Oxford in 2010. As a teen and young adult, she won several awards in art and studied music and art at George Mason University. She went on to study privately and in workshops with John Court, Daniel Green, Albert Handel, Ken Marlow and Jacob Collins. In the early 90's I owned an art gallery and started a popular art center in Fairfax, Virginia, taught painting at The Madison Technical College in Madison Wisconsin as well as gave private lessons while working on her own paintings. Her work was shown in galleries in Georgetown, Washington D.C., Chicago, Illinois, Madison, Wisconsin, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Orlando Museum, Florida. Throughout the past twenty years Tristan have worked as a crisis therapist, ran a 5 star rated outpatient addiction program, worked in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient programs and currently in private practice as a regression therapist. Her fascination with the human psyche and the many aspects of human nature vs spiritual nature combined with her love of art. Much of her underwater series address form, beauty and an endangered unknown underwater world. She is fascinated by our primordial relationship to symbolism which is often hidden within the artwork. Her continued studies in ancient religious and philosophical texts helps her unravel the mystical qualities of the psyche and of art as she focus on the incredible beauty of a divine creator, the language of symbolism that inspires the unconscious and the transcendental. Her journey also includes the writing and publishing of three books related to the soul's journey. "Tristan Faith, PhD".
