Artist Bio: McKenzie was a Minnesota based potter often credited with bringing the Japanese Mingei style of pottery to Minnesota, fondly referred to as the ”Mingei-sota style.” He was also a well loved professor at The University of Minnesota, with students such as Randy Johnson and Mark Pharis. His work is not only beloved in the local Minnesota ceramics circles, but also in the ceramics community worldwide.
