Artist Bio: Edwin, along with his wife Mary, were prominent New York sculptors who spent time studying their art in Oaxaca, Mexico. They examined, studied, and learned the techniques of the Zapotec peoples in weaving, painting, sculpture, and pottery. Many of Edwin’s works incorporate images and themes of life, birth, re-birth, and other stylistic choices stemming from his time studying in Mexico.
